Hale Cocoa by Puna Chocolate Company proudly presents our first "Blooms & Brews" Lei Workshop Event!
This event is scheduled for Friday July 31st, 2026 from 10am - 12pm
It will be held at the Hale Cocoa Location on the brand new lanai area.
Here is the address; 79-7378 Mamalahoa Hwy Kealakekua, HI 96750
We will be making the following;
- Lei ʻāʻī (neck lei) in the kui style (sewn style)
- Hairpicks (will have a station to style in your hair!)
*Each registered participant will be able to make AT LEAST one neck lei and one hairpiece. Extra foliage will be available once each guest has finished their two pieces to ensure all foliage will be used! Unused foliage will be returned to the ʻāina!
All skill levels are welcome! From beginners to experts, we want to gather together as a community to perpetuate lei making! Judgement free zone always!
All tools, materials, and foliage will be provided for you BUT please feel free to bring your own foliage if you'd like!
In tandem with Puna Chocolate Company, each registered participant also receives one (1) free beverage; either alcoholic or non-alcoholic, to enjoy during the workshop.
There will also be some trivia throughout the event pertaining to lei making, lei history, and Lā Hoʻihoʻi ʻEā with prizes for the winners!
