Located in the heart of historic downtown Hilo, Puna Chocolate Company brings together three of our favorite things: Hawai'i-grown chocolate, Big Island Estate grown coffee and Craft Cocktails inspired by and changing with the flavors of the island.

We are proud to produce chocolate that is both GROWN and MADE in Hawai'i, from cacao cultivated on Hawai'i Island to finished chocolate crafted right here at Puna Chocolate. Our coffee program showcases 100% Big Island coffee, including estate-grown beans and rare varietals from our farms.

As the sun goes down, our cocktail bar - Taproot - comes to life with a menu of inventive modern cocktails featuring cacao, tropical fruits, local ingredients and premium spirits. Whether you're sipping a seasonal clarified milk punch or Espresso Martini, exploring nouveau applications of cacao or finding a new favorite cocktail our bar offers a uniquely east side experience.
