Puna District was the first destination for coffee plants brought to the Big Island of Hawaii where they easily took to the volcanic soil, excessive rain, and warm temperatures.
Eventually, Kona, with its more hospitable climate to newcomers, attracted the majority of Hawaiian coffee while Puna has been left the secret preference of people who better know coffee.

It has been the most vibrant and alive coffee I've had. Perfect for anyone who loves really distinct and interesting coffees. Additionally during our trip we stayed in Puna for a few days and this coffee truly did remind me of the people we met at the cafes and shops around town.
