This is a walk through our upper cacao orchard to learn about the source of chocolate! We will talk about where the trees are sourced and how they grow cocoa beans. We will then interact with our coffee orchard and learn about where they are in the overall coffee growing season.
We will view how some of the major tropical spices are grown - cloves, allspice, cinnamon, curry, and nutmeg with a glimpse of the black pepper and vanilla trellises in their beginning stages of planting.
The tour will end at our tasting tent to crack open a cocoa pod and for a 5-chocolate tasting of regional and local crafted chocolates.
This tour is a walking tour on a sloped volcanic farm with some rocks, loose soil, and steep inclines - the use of wheelchairs, walkers, strollers or other assisted walking devices is prohibited. This tour is not advisable for those who cannot stand/walk for 45 minutes.
